Afrobeats superstar Davido has advised aspiring musicians to remain committed to God even after achieving fame and success.
Davido's comments come amid a growing trend of some celebrities, particularly Christians, publicly admitting that they stopped attending church after becoming famous.
Sharing his advice to rising artistes, the singer urged them to have confidence in their abilities and continually improve their craft.
"My advice for up-and-coming artistes is, first of all, believe in yourself. I worked on my craft so much. I loved music so much that I just wanted to get better every time. When I was young, I was learning from YouTube and the people around me," he said.
Davido also encouraged upcoming musicians not to lose sight of their faith as their careers progress.
"Secondly, love what you do and put God first and close, especially when you make it because there are so many distractions that can make you forget He is the reason you are here," he added.
His remarks have sparked conversations online, with many fans praising the singer for encouraging young artistes to remain humble, focused, and spiritually grounded while pursuing success in the highly competitive music industry.
